Fisherman's Wharf

Just behind Pier 39, you’ll find the beloved sea lions sunning themselves on the docks (though we learned the hard way that in summertime their appearance will be hit or miss!). Do a little souvenir shopping on the pier or eat lunch along the wharf (just be prepared to pay tourist prices). Have more time? Take the ferry from Pier 33 over the bay for a tour of Alcatraz Island. I highly recommend booking tickets online, as they sell out weeks in advance during peak season. But it is more than worth the trip!

The Golden Gate Bridge

It's cool. It's there. It's an awesome engineering feat. take a picture or something.

Ferry Building Public Market

This is great as you can find lots of different and intricate shops catering to artesian food and crafts.

Li Po Lounge

I love this Chinatown dIve bar. You need to come here with CASH ONLY and get the Chinese Mai-Tai. You'll thank me later. But don't forget to head downstairs but the place only gets better. It's a dump that always has on the Slow Jams and R&B Hits you know and just makes you smile and laugh. Anthony Bourdain himself paid a visit here and loved it. Once again, Chinese Mai-Tai. DO IT!

Toronado Bar

Looking for a pint of Pliny The Elder? they have it on tap always along with a shit ton of other beers rotating and permanent. This is great dive bar on Haight St. and if you walk up the street a bit you can find a few other places to check out.

Mission District

Mission District for a completely different cultural experience. An increasingly eclectic neighborhood with large Latino influences, The Mission is home to the greatest concentration of murals in the city. Precita Eyes Mural Arts host guided mural walks for those who want to take a closer look. Have more time? Relax and enjoy the beloved Dolores Park, just a couple of blocks from Tartine Bakery (where you can go for an afternoon sweet treat)

House of Nanking

In my opinion the best Chinese Food in San Francisco. You may have to wait in line but its completely worth it. The food is cheap, frikin delicious and will easily put a smile on your stuffed face. Just on the outskirt of China town.

Tonga Room and Hurricane Bar

Thunderstorms happen inside this GEM of a tiki bar. THE DRINKS WILL TAKE YOU TO PARADISE! The Tonga room was built by and old set designer for MGM studios and is the location of the old pool in the hotel. They serve food, but after 10pm its 21+ and they are closed Monday and Tuesdays. Come early for Happy Hour at 5pm to avoid crowds. Cheers!

Swan Oyster Depot

Oysters done right are an understatement for this place. with barely enough seating for less than a dozen people, you can easily order more than A dozen oysters as well as fresh fish, and crab. I have to make a stop here every time I visit. But you need to Come early before they open or you will be waiting in LINE for a bit.

Wave Organ

The Wave Organ is an interesting place where the tide and waves push air through pipes to create natural sounds. Just a relaxing place to come and chill.

Molinari Delicatessen

The only Proper Sandwich in SF can be found at the Proper Italian Delicatessen. Take a number and pick your meats and cheeses along with your choice of bread and sandwich spread and VOLARE! My mouth waters thinking about it.

Elephant Sushi

Best sushi hands down in SF. There is always a line, but the great sushi and good prices make it one we never mind waiting in. Get the Himalayan Trout, served on a salt block with green onion, olive oil, and ponzu sauce. The salt actually seasons the trout, and isn’t just a gimmick to look cool. Open Wednesday through Saturday. Try to get their early so you can get a seat. Perfect date night spot!

Comstock Saloon

Located in SF's North Beach Neighborhood, This Bar serves up some of the best Old Fashions in the city along with many other finely crafted cocktails. Come for the drinks, enjoy some of the food, but sip those drinks and enjoy the nighty live music.
