Walking and cycling tours are regularly organized on the most famous mountain range of the Serra de Tramuntana, famous for its magnificent lookouts. The three national parks cover as much as 40 percent of the island’s surface.
There are also famous caves, the most famous of which is the Cuevas del Drach, 2,400 meters long, which houses one of the largest underground lakes in the world and many stalactites. It is toured by boat accompanied by classical music performed live!
Now that we have covered the basics, let’s talk about wonderful accommodation places for you!
Belmond La Residencia
As soon as you land in Mallorca, rent a car and head north of the island: a 45-minute fairytale path will take you to the town of Deià. Tucked away among olive trees and surrounded by hills is the Belmond La Residencia where you will feel as if you have walked into some old postcard.
The fantasy is complete with an oval pool and striped deck chairs, and as soon as you cross the threshold you will start to feel like a movie diva and you will very easily forget about the turbulent everyday life.
Cala Deia
Here it’s time to completely enjoy the sun. Below the mountain village there is a small rocky beach, only 70 meters long, but absolutely beautiful. There are two great restaurants right on the beach, Restaurante Ca’n Lluc offers classic Spanish cuisine adapted to a day in the sun. While the other Ca’s Patro March is on the rock and has slightly finer seafood-based specialties on its menu.
